From Bottle Babies to Mums with a Plan (and a Bedroom)
Let us introduce you to two of the biggest personalities on the
farm—and possibly the cheekiest sheep in all of Wales:
Barbara and Ewelah. These girls are not just sheep.
They are living legends, escape artists, interior design critics,
and now… mothers (unexpectedly).
👶 Born Without a Mum, Raised Like Royalty
In 2023, Barbara and Ewelah came to us as tiny, helpless,
day-old lambs with no mothers and no one to feed them.
It was either rescue them, or… well, let’s just say they were
headed somewhere not great.
So, what did we do? We did what any sheep-loving human
would do:
🚨 We moved them straight into Heles living room.
That's right, These girls started life inside a house,
where they were bottle-fed day and night, coddled, kissed,
cuddled, and—let’s be honest—utterly spoiled.
Fast forward a year and they now believe they
are at least 40% human, 60% diva, and 100% entitled.
🛏 Life at the Cabins: The Sheep Edition
Barbara and Ewelah now reside at the cabins, where they have:
-
Their own paddock
-
Their own floral-wallpapered bedroom
-
And a strong belief that they are not just sheep—they are ladies of leisure
They enjoy head scratches on demand, they come when called, and they go on walks like dogs—except fluffier, louder, and much more opinionated.
They're also not above knocking on the door if they feel their bedtime snack is late. Or if their bedroom decor feels “a little flat.”
👶 Surprise! Mums Now Too!
Now, let’s address the woolly elephant in the room.
We had no intention of breeding Barbara and Ewelah. NONE.
But apparently, they had other plans.
They spotted the handsome tup in the neighbouring field, started yelling sweet nothings at him across the hedge, and then… THEY SHOWED HIM A GAP IN THE FENCE. Like. Deliberately.
They invited him over like it was some kind of fuzzy forbidden love story. "Ewe up?"
And lo and behold, a few months later—boom. Lambs.
Babies everywhere.
No regrets.
Honestly, we kind of respect the hustle.
👩👧 Sheep with Retirement Plans & Toddler Drama
Most sheep don’t get the chance to raise their lambs to adult hood.
But Barbara and Ewelah will.
These two will spend the rest of their natural, comfy, wallpapered lives with us—watching their lambs grow, nibble their ears, ruin their naps, and occasionally jump on their heads.
They’ve got food, love, shelter, and a permanent spot on the farm gossip list.
💸 How Sponsorship Helps
Let’s be real: life at the cabin spa resort for sheep doesn’t come cheap.
Your monthly sponsorship helps us provide:
-
Quality food (with the odd digestive biscuit, obviously)
-
Vet care (in case they try any more funny business)
-
Enrichment and safety for the lambs
-
Bedding, housing, and, yes… more floral wallpaper (Ewelah has strong opinions on prints)
You’re not just sponsoring sheep.
You’re sponsoring two queens who beat the odds, raised babies, and now strut through life like they own it.
(They kind of do.)
👉 Sponsor Barbara or Ewelah today, and join the flock.
You'll get updates, adorable photos, and that warm fuzzy feeling—just like the one stuck to your socks after walking through their bedroom.
🐑💐 Long may they reign.
